Caledonian College of Engineering operates in partnership with Glasgow Caledonian University. GCU is a large
university loacted in Glasgow, Scotland. The university is divided into 3 faculties including a Faculty of Science
and Technology. It has a tradition of quality education, research, consultancy and training that dates back to
1875. At present there are over 1,200 highly qualified and experienced teaching staff within 23 teching departments,
committed to helping students int their studies and careers.
GCU has grown to become a major provider of professional and vocational higher education in UK. , with over
12,000 students. Great emphasis is placed on voactional experience during study, provided by extended
industrial placements, guests lecturers or short structured periods of placement where students apply academic
learning to real life situations.
Fine residential accomadation is available for students progressing to study at GCU. The university has an extensive
and experienced Student Services Department that provides students with support in all non-academic areas.
There are extensive sports facilities and a lively Students Association.
