As every engineer knows-a strong structure depends on strong foundation. It is the same with education. A firm foundation of basic skills and knowledge is necessary on to which build a successful future. THis is what we aim to provide through the foundation Studies Programme.

Caledonian College is committed to achieving the highest standards in education and by offering students who are enrolled in Foundation Studies Programme an opportunity to develop their skills in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry together with the means to develop communication skills, decision making and leadership qualities, we are establishing a strong basis for their continuing studeis in Higher Education leading potentially to degree status in their chosen subject.

The Foundation Studies Programme Consists of:

2 semesters of study (full time)3 semseters(part time)
Daily classes Saturday-Wednesday 9am-3pm
Tuition in small groups to ensure that students receive maximum personal attention.
English taught by qualified native speakers.

In this way we aim to prepare our students for access to a Higher Education programme where they will go on tp achieve their full educational potential.

How to apply

  • Complete a college application form which is supplied in the college brochure or can be obtained from direct from the college office or the online application form available.
  • Attend the college for an interview with a member of the Foundation Studies department.
  • Take the college entrance test in English and Mathematics.
  • What will happen next?
    If you are successful in the entrance test and you have completed the above application procedures, you will be given a letter offering you a place on the Foundation Studies Programme and telling you when the programme starts.
